An action plan for the export of halal meat will be prepared soon. An important high-level meeting was held under the leadership of the Secretary of Livestock Punjab. The meeting reviewed the development of the livestock sector.
On this occasion, Livestock Secretary Muhammad Masood Anwar said that the plans for the development of the livestock department should be prepare according to the requirements.
He said that it is possible to improve the country’s economy by increasing the exports of livestock products. In this context, a strategy will be prepared for the export of halal meat in the Middle East, Middle East, China, and European countries۔
Efforts are being made to control livestock diseases, especially foot-and-mouth disease, to achieve better production. He further said that digital data from the livestock and poultry sector is also being compiled to stabilize the market system.
He also assigned a special task to Pakistan Agriculture and Meat Company to increase exports of halal meat. Secretary Livestock said that PEMCO should prepare a comprehensive strategy to increase meat exports by implementing all measures.
In addition, the Punjab Livestock and Dairy Development Board should submit its recommendations for the launch of the Smart Livestock Farming System project.
