University of Agriculture, Faisalabad will have a state-of-the-art National Handball Stadium and Resource Center equipped with modern facilities.
The foundation stone of stadium was laid by Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Iqrar Ahmed Khan. The stadium will be established at the sports facility adjacent to the University Hockey Ground, and will be completed within a year. Director Planning and Development Irfan Abbas, Director Sports Dr. Ahmed Sattar, Principal Officer ECD Dr. Muhammad Arshad, State Officer Rana Muhammad Shahzad, Dr. Rashid Rasool, Shahid Ayaz Wahla, Ashiq Rasool, Farooq Ahmed and others attended .
Prof Dr. Iqrar Ahmad Khan said that for the last few decades, the sports fields are presenting a deserted look due to a lack of interest in sports among the young generation. He said that sports increase physical and mental strength and create sportsman spirit to fight the odds in life.
