The Agricultural and Livestock Departments met with Muhammad Azam Khan, interim chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, on Monday at the Chief Minister House in Peshawar.
The discussion made clear that these departments. Operations have been put on hold as a result of the funding freeze for development. In which might have an effect on agricultural output. The chief minister promised to prioritise issues. Which affecting the agriculture and livestock sectors as he acknowledged their importance for the health of the econoy.
The meeting was attended by the acting agriculture minister Abdul Halim Kasuria. The principal secretary, Amjad Ali Khan, the secretaries of agriculture and livestock, Asrar Khan and Mukhtiar Ahmed. The chief minister gave the heads of these departments instructions to decide on their top priorities for allocating funds given the existing circumstances.
The chief minister emphasized the importance of using modern science and technology in the fields of agriculture and livestock. He gave the departments instructions to make it simpler for farmers to benefit from these advantages.
He also gave the authorities instructions to focus on working with private institutions for the construction of minor dams, fisheries, and other activities in the province, as well as to develop plans for the rehabilitation of the cooperative sector.
